Clutch Angels

Remembering our fallen sisters…

To remember a “Clutch Angel”, email a few photos along with a brief, one-paragraph obituary.

Heidi Lassiter

Heidi Lassiter
(Jul 23, 1969 – Aug 10, 2009)

Taken much too soon, Heidi suffered a massive brain aneurysm the evening of August 9, 2009, while in the arms of the man she loved.  Sitting vigil by her side that night were her closest friends and family.  Sadly, she was given no hope by neurosurgeons and was taken off life support the following morning.  Riding dirt bikes most of her life, Heidi spent much of her spare time in the desert.  She later took to the streets on her Katana & shared both of these passions with her boyfriend, Jerame.  Heidi is survived by her daughter, Megan; mother, Darliene; & countless beloved family and friends.  The light of every life she touched, she will never be forgotten.

Marleea Gerfen
(Oct 12,  1987 – Sep 13, 2009)

Marleea passed away doing what she loved; riding her FZ6R. While riding her motorcycle with friends, she failed to negotiate a corner, colliding with a dirt berm. Paramedics arrived quickly, but were unable to revive her. She touched the lives of many people, both on and off the motorcycle. She was a US Marine, member of the Rock Church & its Homeless Ministry, motorcycle enthusiast, sister, daughter, mother & friend. She loved meeting up with friends at Mira Mesa’s bike night; and will be remembered by countless for her bright smile & laughter, outgoing personality, and tendency to randomly break into dance. She is survived by her husband, Brandon, & their son, Roman.
