February 2012 Ride-SD
Girlclutch is a great way to meet and ride with fellow female riders. The recent February ride was more than I had anticipated when I ended up meeting a seasoned rider and 35+ years San Diego resident, C.J. Her knowledge of every twisty back-road added a little extra spice, not to mention 20 miles, to the already fantastic ride. I know that we took the Mesa Grande route in addition, we stopped at a sub place, shared stories and got to know eachother, then went on every twisty back road between Oceanside and Escondido.
GirlClutch rides are fun for me because I don’t feel any pressure (testoterone) to ride outside of my limits. I am able to practice my technique and really enjoy the ride, the company, and the scenery. I have been able to attend two rides so far and hope to enjoy many more.
