Ride Review: International Female Ride Day
International Female Ride Day occurs every first Friday in May and calls for all women motorcyclists to join together and JUST RIDE! Founded by Motoress.com with the gial to “HIGHLIGHT the many numbers of women actively enjoying motorcycling; HEIGHTEN awareness of women riders, and INSPIRE those who have not yet taken it up. Each participant is a role model for women in motorcycling!”
Because many girls work or go to school during the week, GirlClutch organized a ride for the following day; Saturday May 8th, 2010. Girls came out from the San Diego, Orange, and Los Angeles Counties to ride together and represent for female riders everywhere!
We met in Mira Mesa, CA then rode to Julian to enjoy some lunch, apple pie, and root beer floats! It was a great opportunity to meet and network with other female riders, and it seemed like a general consensus that we all wanted to meet to ride again in the near future. (Palm Springs maybe?)
GirlClutch would like to thank the ladies from ChicRiders SoCal Chapter, and ladies from OCMoto.com for coming out and representing with us! We hope to ride with you again soon!!
